Who checked this, and how
Every published comparison carries the answer on its own page — the state, the date and the roles. This is what those words mean.
Two AI checks, then accountable reports
Separate checks answer separate questions.
The first AI run checks the expression, original-language source, locator and completeness. A separate run checks source policy, rights, evidence scope, generated editorial text and publication safety. The system refuses promotion when the runs are the same or either check fails. Human review is triggered when a reader reports a problem; the earlier AI approvals never dismiss that report.
What the badges mean
The only two review states that reach a public page.
Verified
Passed the recorded review path, with sources, rights and review roles shown.
A trusted source with a locator, compatible rights, and both recorded AI review stages passed.
Disputed
Credible disagreement exists. Review the competing interpretations before classroom use.
It stays published, with the disagreement shown rather than resolved silently.
Candidate, reviewed and rejected material is editorial only and never appears here. A record that is withdrawn or superseded keeps a durable notice at its own address rather than disappearing, so a link you saved keeps telling you what happened to it.
Status is scoped to a claim
A single badge for a whole comparison would be a lie.
A verified wording does not make an unverified claim about historical origin verified. Each expression, each meaning, each source claim and each relationship carries its own state, and a comparison’s summary can never be stronger than the weakest required part of it. Where coverage is mixed the summary says so, rather than rounding up to a single reassuring badge.
What this build is
This build still includes labelled legacy fixture records whose locators, attestations or reviewer roles may be placeholders. New fast-publish records disclose AI provenance and pass the two checks above. In both cases, inspect the evidence and report anything that looks wrong.
