Our original editorial work is licensed for reuse. The sources we research are not ours to license.

The part that took the review effort: literal and natural translations, functional meanings, usage contexts, the relationship analysis, and the explanations of why two sayings connect and where they stop matching.
Reuse it freely, including commercially, with credit. Attribution travels with a copied lesson result for exactly that reason — the licence is only satisfied if the credit goes where the text goes.
Quoted source material
Not ours to license
A dictionary entry, a printed collection, a manuscript reading. Each source carries its own rights disposition and quotation limit in the internal review record. Source material is not displayed on public pages.
Trusted sources inform our research. Public pages use short traditional sayings in their original language and independently authored editorial material, not the surrounding book text or images. Copyright in a recording edition does not require a new licence for each short proverb.
Where publication stops
Rights are a publication gate, not a footnote. Unknown, pending, denied or incompatible rights block reuse of source material outside the approved short-expression policy. We check final text and visuals for copied or lightly reworded book content and separately review accuracy and evidence. If a published record fails its rights review, it is withdrawn through a governed decision; a report alone does not change its status.
The application itself
The licence of the source code is a separate decision and has not been made. Nothing on this page grants any right to it.
